Kids sandboarding parties

An exciting, healthy alternative which is more fun than you can imagine. Sandboarding is safe and very easy to learn. Our expert instructors will ensure a fun filled day for all.

An experienced sandboarding instructor will meet you at the Cape Town Sand Dunes at a pre-arranged time. The dune field is the largest shifting dune field in the Western Cape. It is situated a mere 35 minutes from the V&A Waterfront, and boasts some of the best sandboarding dunes in the country Your instructor will teach the kids how to sandboard and supervise them while they are on the dunes. Parents are free to relax under the SunScene Gazebo’s or join in the fun. We recommend spending two hours on the dunes sandboarding as we have found that this is the optimum sandboarding party length.

Cost per board: R120 (minimum 10 boards during the week and on school holidays /minimum 7 boards on weekends)
Minimum age: 7yrs old

We have found that having 2 kids per board (buddy system) works well and helps to keep the cost down (i.e. R60 per child). For example, a sandboarding party for a group of 14 kids will cost R840 (includes 7 boards and an instructor).

The City of Cape Town charges an entry fee of R15 per person (over and above the board fee), to be paid to your instructor, who will issue you with the regulation permit on arrival.
